Description
V 36 412 apparently belongs to a railway club in Lengerich, quite far away from Groß Düngen, so the engine still had a long journey ahead - and that at a top speed of 60 kph. At such a speed, of course, it was also a road block for the other trains on the line, which can reach a top speed of 140 kph (normal trains) or 160 kph (tilting). Hence, the train was pulled into a siding in Groß Düngen, one of the few remaining sidings on the line, and had to wait for a Regional Express train to Hanover to overtake it. That gave me and my father the chance to take some more pictures, and get a closer look at the train. Which is kind of odd.
The first carriage seems to be a Bi-29, which is a "Donnerbüchse" in luxury (second class, the Donnerbüchse cars were never built in first class) configuration, and also in the rarer version with closed doors. Some people were inside, but way too few to classify as a tour. The second vehicle is some sort of type E standard open freight car, with no real point or purpose other than being moved here, it seems. Finally, there is what seems to be a DRG-era "Schnellzugwagen" (long distance coach), but don’t quote me on that. A very weird composition in total.
